Technology supports learning in every discipline and every grade level at Winsor. Students learn how to use technology to acquire, organize, evaluate and present information. At the same time, girls gain essential skills for independent learning—one of our core values.
The school has continued to invest significantly in technology facilities and equipment. An updated digital language lab, a media lab and a recording studio are among our newest resources. Winsor’s experienced technology staff supports students with wireless access, school email, and 150 computers for their daily use in labs, the library and classrooms.
“Girls need to be inventive, nimble, resilient, and technologically adept to be prepared for life and work in the 21st century.”
Rachel Friis Stettler
Winsor invests continually in faculty professional development as well. Regular one-on-one and group instruction in academic technology empowers teachers with better tools for educating students.
The result? Teachers make extensive use of instructional technology to enhance lessons in class—and increasingly use it to extend the learning environment beyond the classroom.
