After receiving the Preliminary Application form in the mail (requested in step 1), please complete and submit the form as soon as possible. In order to visit Winsor for an interview and tour, you are required to submit the Preliminary Application first. Also, once you send in the Preliminary Application, we will mail you a full application for admission. This form is important because it shows your interest in Winsor and your commitment to the application process. Please note that the Preliminary Application is not available online.
Step 3: Visit
Call the Admission Office at (617) 735-9503 to schedule a tour and interview. Our interview schedule (September through mid-January) fills very quickly so we encourage you to call as soon as possible in the fall. The only item you are required to submit before your arrival is the Preliminary Application (Steps 1 and 2).
Every visit is carefully crafted to ensure that you and your daughter have the most personal and pleasurable experience at Winsor. During your visit, you can expect:
- A 25-minute tour of the school conducted by a high school student guide.
- A 30-minute conversation between a Winsor admission representative and the parent(s) or adult(s) who accompanied the student. This gives the admission representative a chance to learn more about the student and family, and gives parents a chance to ask questions.
- A 30-minute conversation between the admission representative and the student.
Please arrive promptly in order to respect the tour guide’s limited time and to get the most out of your tour before her next class or commitment. Parking is available on site. (Get directions to campus.)
Step 4: Test
Register for and take the appropriate standardized test.
- For entrance into grades 5-7, register for the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) online at www.iseetest.org (Winsor's code is 220405) or by phone at 800-446-0320.

- You must take the appropriate test by the second week of January. (See FAQ for more information about testing.)
Step 5: Attend Events
We invite you and your family to attend optional events both on and off campus to learn what Winsor has to offer to academically motivated and promising girls, including:
Open House
We schedule Open House on a weekday in November so you can see the school in session and sit in on classes. You have the opportunity to meet teachers, students and parents, and hear their perspective on what makes Winsor special. Adults are strongly encouraged to attend, and students are also welcome. No RSVP is required. Please see the admission calendar or call our office at (617) 735-9503 for more information.
Other Visiting Opportunities
You are welcome to attend several Winsor community events throughout the year, including the Shakespeare Play and Under the Lights, a celebration of sports and community. Our Admission team also attends school fairs off campus in the fall. See our admission calendar for more information about these events.
