Alumnae Board
Board Members' Area (log in required)
The mission of the Alumnae Board is "to support the collective and individual efforts of alumnae to perpetuate Winsor values - competency, generous-mindedness and responsibility - by creating and encouraging activities that connect alumnae in learning, friendship and an ongoing interest in the affairs of the school."
The Alumnae Board meets regularly, and its meetings are open to any interested Winsor alumnae.
Goals of the Board:
- To be a resource to alumnae for networking, support and friendship,
- To offer opportunities for continued learning to alumnae,
- To be a resource to the Winsor School community for volunteer support,
- To encourage alumnae participation in the life and goals of Winsor through volunteering and financial assistance,
- To join with Winsor in promoting and celebrating the diversity of Winsor's past, current and future student body.
Winsor has always encouraged and sought the involvement of its alumnae. They serve on the Board of Trustees, the Corporation, as members of committees, and as class agents for the Annual Fund.
An alumnae association has existed at Winsor for about 100 years. Originally called the Graduate Club, its name was changed in the 1960s to the Winsor Alumnae Association and the practice of charging dues was dropped in order to include all alumnae.
The Winsor Alumnae Association consists of all women who have attended the school, regardless of whether they graduated. Membership is automatic.
The Alumnae Board is the governing body of the Alumnae Association and is composed of volunteers elected by the association.
