Capital and Endowment Giving

While Annual Giving contributions help to cover the school’s yearly operating expenses, Winsor relies on leadership gifts to capital initiatives and the endowment in order to fund larger needs.

Capital gifts help to fund building and technology projects. For example, recent contributions have helped to renovate classrooms, as well as install artificial turf playing fields.

Gifts to the endowment help to secure the school’s long-term financial stability—and to fund current priorities through ongoing interest generated by the endowment.

Ongoing Support for Faculty, Students and Programs

By establishing an endowed fund or contributing to an existing fund, you can support Winsor and the girls in several ways:

• A scholarship fund helps to make a Winsor education possible for deserving students
• An endowed fund can be designated to support a department, technology, athletics, the library, or faculty enrichment
• An endowed faculty chair supports a teacher in her/his work with students and encourages professional development and personal growth

You can choose to name a new fund in honor or in memory of a beloved family member or teacher, creating an enduring legacy.

Urgent Initiatives for Financial Aid, Technology and Global Engagement

Winsor is raising funds for several urgent priorities:

• Co-Curricular Activities Scholarship Fund Established to give students who have financial need an opportunity to experience cultural travel opportunities, special field trips, and a broad range of co-curricular activities.
• Technology Endowment Fund Established to make significant upgrades to labs and hardware as well as to support professional development for teachers to integrate technology with their curriculum.
• Global Engagement Fund Established to strengthen Winsor’s global programming, including faculty professional development and funding to develop new courses, arrange co-curricular trips and bring in distinguished speakers for assembly programs.
