Ways of Giving

Cash Gifts

Gifts of cash are the simplest way of making a making a gift. Donors may also make a pledge when contacted by a volunteer or during one of our phonathons. They will receive a Winsor remittance envelope with their appeal letter and can use it send a check to the school. Please make checks payable to The Winsor School.

Credit Card Gifts

Donors may also use a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) to make a gift. This web site offers one convenient option for paying securely by credit card. In addition, donors may fill in the amount and credit card number, expiration date, and the name in which the card is issued on a Winsor remittance envelope and return it to the school. They also may make a gift by telephone by calling the Development Office at 617 912-1343 with the above information. Our voice mail system is secure.

Gifts of Appreciated Securities

Donating appreciated securities (stocks, bonds and mutual fund shares) held for at least a year and a day to Winsor is a tax-advantaged way to make a gift and can be done easily. To insure the proper crediting of stock gifts, donors should call the Development Office at 617 912-1384 with the details of their gift.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Many corporations have established programs for independent schools whereby the company matches or multiplies donations made by active and sometimes retired employees. Many of these companies also match contributions made by their directors. Any individual whose donation generates a matching gift will receive additional credit for that amount.
