The Winsor Varsity Track team celebrated victory this weekend finishing first in the EIL Championships and winning the Odell Invitational.
The EIL Championship win was Winsor's third in three years, and the Wildcats secured the victory by narrowly outscoring Portsmouth Abbey 126 to 125.
The Odell Crown win was also Winsor's third, and the Wildcats beat out second place finishers Marianapolis and Moses Brown by a score of 92 to 79. The Odell Invitational meet consisted of the six EIL teams and the six SENE conference teams.
Six Winsor athletes claimed wins in seven individual events: Kaitlin Kolb '21 in both the 100 hurdles (16.91) and 300 hurdles (49.86); Lydia Barker '21, who had a significant PR in long jump (15-7.5); Winnie Wang '20 in the 800 (2:32.46); India Glenn '20 in high jump (4-8); Alex Bardon '18 in the 3000 (PR 11:26.96), and Lucie King '20 in the 400 (PR 1:05.28).
The 4x400 team of Anjali Palepu '21, Alexa Green '17, Lucie King '20 and Winnie Wang '20 captured first with a time of 4:26.20.
