Consider these options

A simple bequest is the most common way of remembering Winsor, and many of the most significant gifts in the School’s history have been just that. Our office can provide your attorney or advisor with important information and the appropriate language for such a gift.

In addition, you may want to explore the estate and income tax benefits of designating Winsor as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, IRA, or other retirement account.

Would you like to receive income even as you provide Winsor with future support? Are you interested in maximizing your tax benefits by generating deductions or avoiding capital gains tax? If so, you may wish to consider one of the following arrangements:

List of 4 items.

  • Charitable Gift Annuity

A Charitable Gift Annuity provides a fixed dollar payment to a beneficiary, usually quarterly.
  • Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust

A Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust is a separately managed trust that pays the beneficiaries a fixed dollar income on a quarterly basis, regardless of the value of the trust.
  • Charitable Remainder Unitrust

A Charitable Remainder Unitrust is a separately managed trust that pays a fixed percentage of its value quarterly to the beneficiary. These arrangements are ideal for donors who prefer investment flexibility.
  • Deferred Payment Charitable Gift Annuity

A Deferred Payment Charitable Gift Annuity is similar to a standard annuity except that your first payment is deferred rather than beginning immediately. This option can be useful if you need tax relief now but want to defer the income to a later date.
Your financial situation is unique. So are your life values and goals. Gift planning is best approached personally and thoughtfully, and the options are far more varied than can be described in a web site. Our staff can assist you and your advisors in designing a plan so it will have the greatest benefit to you and to the people and institutions you care about most.
