Are we paying attention to self-care?

Self-care: A Wellness Tip from Peer Support
We are one month in to the new school year and summer already feels like a distant memory.  The campus is vibrant with student chatter, energy and enthusiasm. It is an exciting time of year, and an opportunity to start fresh and on a positive note. But as our routines evolve into habits and our schedules become more and more busy, it’s easy to forget about the most important thing: OURSELVES! Are we paying attention to our self-care? To the basics we need to maintain a balanced life physically, emotionally and socially? We don’t all grow up with the confidence to put our needs first. Self-care takes time and practice, and many of us need to learn what it means. But the sooner we learn how and begin to practice self-care on a daily basis, the sooner it becomes a habit.
Making a self-care checklist is a great way for students and their families to get started.
