Student Delivers Food for the Front Lines

Understanding the impact of COVID-19 on front line workers and small business, Reah Donohue '21 decided to do something to help. Several weeks ago, Reah took the initiative to raise money to provide food for Boston's medical community and to support struggling local businesses.

Through direct efforts and via a Go Fund Me campaign
, Reah's Food for the Front Lines initiative has already raised over ten thousand dollars. Each day, thanks to the donations, she buys food from locally-owned restaurants and bakeries, and delivers it to medical residents working on the front lines at Boston hospitals.  In addition, at the request of the grateful local residents, she is creating care packages filled with items from small Boston companies to be sent to residents at 43 NYC residents’ programs.

"Reah is characteristically modest about it all," shared her family, witnessing her hard work and  dedication first-hand. "[We] have been impressed watching her put her Winsor education and values to work during these difficult times."
