Winsor Recognized for Community Service Efforts

On Wednesday, May 5, Winsor Parents' Association Volunteer Coordinators and students were recognized by the Parents Independent School Network (PIN) for their tremendous work adapting their annual service initiatives to continue to help the local community during the pandemic.

Winsor was awarded five PIN grants totaling over $1,100. Grant recognitions included: “Helping the Homeless,” “Giving Our Kids the Basics,” “Alumni Outreach,” and “Books and Art Kits for the Ellis School.” Class VI student Lindsay Whelan '23 was recognized for Winsor's collaboration with Beaver Country Day School and Boston Community Pediatrics to provide ongoing tutoring to at-risk youth in the Boston Area. And PIN also recognized Chop-A-Thon coordinators and student outreach leaders Delaney Holland ‘22 and Claire Ackerman ‘22 for transforming Winsor's long-standing, one-day service project into a school-wide, weeklong project to benefit the Pine Street Inn.

Winsor is thankful to all the students and volunteer coordinators who dedicate their time to so many meaningful community outreach programs. Congratulations to all the winners!
