Science Wing Renovation

Building for the Future

Winsorโ€™s campus master plan includes an update to our science classrooms that will elevate these spaces to the highest standards, matching the level of commitment and excellence our science program offers Winsor students. The Winsor Science Renovation Project Steering Committee, Winsor Board of Trustees Facilities Committee, and Winsor Science Department have partnered with a standout, all-women team from Leggat McCall Properties, Goody Clancy, and Consigli Construction to conduct research and plan this renovation. With the recent approval of the construction plan and budget, we are officially moving forward with this long-planned and long-awaited project.

Guiding Principles

Guided by principles of future-oriented design, inclusivity, safety, sustainability, and excellence, we are focused on creating flexible, collaborative spaces that foster learning and reflect our values, taking care to preserve Winsorโ€™s historical character as we look toward the future.

As we undertake this project, we are guided by the following principles:

Future-Oriented Design
Enhanced Learning Environments
Inclusivity and Accessibility
Safety and Well-being
Tradition and Modernity
Uninterrupted Teaching and Learning
Sustainability and Resource Optimization
Community Engagement
Excellence in Education

Timeline

We will follow a carefully structured timeline designed to minimize any disruption for our on-campus community. This school year will proceed as normal while work is done behind the walls and in the off hours, primarily during winter and spring breaks. The majority of the heavy construction work will take place from early May through the summer, and will be completed in time for a fall 2025 opening.
