The Winsor School Privacy Policy

Unless voluntarily provided in an online form filled out on winsor.edu or emailed to an employee of Winsor, we do not collect identifying information such as your name, email address, mailing address, or telephone number. If you voluntarily submit that identifying information through an email or one of our forms, we may use it to provide follow-up communications regarding Winsor news, events, and announcements that you may be interested in. Information submitted to Winsor through email or one of our website forms may be forwarded to Winsor employees who can better assist you in your query and/or interests.

Credit card payments made on winsor.edu are securely processed through the third party vendor blackbaud.com. Winsor does not see or store credit card information. We do store your giving history (date of gift and amount) and may use that information to shape follow up communications.

There are links to external websites outside our server throughout winsor.edu. We believe these websites may offer helpful supplemental information to our visitors. Winsor is not responsible for the content, management, and privacy practices of these external websites.

Winsor uses Google Analytics to track user behavior on the School’s website. Through Google Analytics, we collect and store the following information: the URL of the referring website from which you linked (when applicable); the date and time of your visit; the pages you visit within the domain winsor.edu; duration spent on each page within winsor.edu; your location (country, state, and town); your language; internal and external links clicked within winsor.edu; your browser type (e.g. Chrome, Safari) and operating system (e.g. Macintosh, Windows); the device type you used to access the site (e.g. Apple iPhone, Android); and the screen resolution of your device.

Google Analytics also provides us with a prediction of your age, gender, and interests (e.g., “Sports & Fitness”) based on the information Google already possesses about your browsing habits.

We use all of the information listed above to better understand the preferences of our website visitors and we apply what we learn to improve user experience at winsor.edu.
