The Show Must Go On

On Thursday, January 14, the annual Class IV Rock On! concert, well, rocked. Felicia Brady-Lopez’s class faced a challenge—their concert couldn’t be performed in front of a live audience. In an exciting twist, the students learned how to create music videos for a pre-recorded show! While they still provided their own vocals, backup, and instrumentation, they also learned new skills to fill the roles of sound engineer, videographer, producer, and editor. The Beatles were a popular choice with bands playing “Yesterday,” “In My Life,” and “Here Comes the Sun.” One band performed “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction. Their rationale? “We chose this song because we wanted to remind all of you that you are beautiful.”
