2026–27 New Faculty and Staff
As we kick off the 2026–27 school year, we are excited to welcome new faculty, administrators, and staff to the Winsor community. While many folks are just beginning their Winsor tenures this academic year, some familiar faces started working on campus last spring and over the summer. Please give a warm Winsor welcome to our newest community members!
Jill Bemis: Visual Arts Faculty
Jill Bemis joins the Visual Arts Department as a teacher for both the Lower and Upper School, and a Class V advisor. She comes to Winsor with experience teaching at the college level and within community art spaces. She received her B.F.A in creative arts therapy from Endicott College and M.F.A. in photography from Lesley University. Jill’s own art practice is interdisciplinary with roots in analog photography. Growing up along the coastal marshland of Massachusetts has had perhaps the biggest impact on her art-making practice; the tide gifted Jill an example of slowness, rhythm, and mystery. She recently relocated to Jamaica Plain, and is very excited to take long walks in the nearby nature spaces.
Katie Bogart: English Faculty
Katie Bogart joins the English Department as a teacher for Class VI English (United States Literature) and Class IV English. Before moving to the Boston area, she spent five years teaching English in Idaho and northern Vermont. She studied engineering sciences at Dartmouth College but realized that her true passion was teaching English. At Winsor, Katie will also be a Class V advisor, a field hockey coach, and an advisor to The Banner. When not teaching or coaching, she loves to read, write, bike, ski, visit art museums, and spend time sitting in the sun. She lives in Somerville with her partner, Habib.
Emma Brown, Wellness Faculty
Emma Brown joins Winsor as a Wellness faculty member, teaching in both the Lower and Upper School. Originally from the seacoast of New Hampshire, Emma attended the University of New Hampshire, where she earned dual teaching degrees in health and physical education. Before moving to Boston, she spent four years teaching on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, following two years teaching in New Hampshire. Emma is excited to begin this new chapter at Winsor and looks forward to exploring Boston, cheering on the Red Sox and Patriots, and joining the field hockey team this fall. Most of all, she is excited to become part of the Winsor community and get to know her students and colleagues!
Amy Cokinos: Assistant Director of Athletics
Amy Cokinos is thrilled to join the Winsor School as the assistant director of athletics, a physical education teacher, and an interscholastic coach. Amy brings over two decades of experience at independent schools and works to inspire student-athletes to accomplish common goals while helping them develop sound individual character, leading them to positively influence the lives of others. She completed her Master of Science in education at Boston University, earned a Master of Science in athletic administration from Ohio University, and holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from Dartmouth College. Amy resides in Dedham and spends her free time watching her son’s hockey and daughter’s field hockey games. She enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with family on Cape Cod.
Danielle Coriale: English Faculty
Danielle Coriale is a new member of the English Department at Winsor, where she will teach Class VI United States Literature and senior electives. She previously taught for four years at Brooks School in North Andover, where she offered classes in United States and global literature and served as the department chair. A third-generation English teacher, Danielle studied literature in college and completed a doctorate in English at Brandeis University. After graduate school, she was an assistant professor of Victorian literature and science at the University of South Carolina. Danielle is an avid hiker, a nail polish enthusiast, and a lover of Boston Terriers. She lives in Belmont with her husband, her son William, and her dog Sweetpea.
Liz Davenport: Visual Arts Faculty
Liz Davenport joins Winsor as Visual Arts Faculty in both the Lower and Upper School. A Massachusetts native, she has been teaching art for several years, with experience in New York City, the Midwest, and the Boston area. Liz is also a practicing artist and loves drawing, painting, and finding ways to bring observation, experimentation, and a little bit of play into the studio. Outside of school, she loves to cook, swim, visit museums, and work on her own art. She lives with her beloved cat, Pigeon, who is both an excellent studio companion and occasional creative distraction.
Caitlin Hart-Loi: Mathematics Faculty
Caitlin Hart-Loi is joining Winsor as a math teacher, teaching Algebra 2 and Advanced Geometry. Prior to moving to Boston, she spent five years in New York City at Poly Prep Country Day School and one year in Newport, RI at St. George’s, but grew up in five countries as part of a State Department family. She studied economics and education at Bowdoin College and earned her Master of Science in education at Lehman College. In her free time, she loves to bake/cook, make new clothes with her mom’s sewing machine, and run on Boston’s many running paths (next up is the Marine Corps Marathon in October). Caitlin lives in Mission Hill with her husband, Tyler, and their energetic dog, Suki.
Jill Henson: Director of Major Gifts
Jill Henson is pleased to join the Winsor community as director of major gifts. She comes to Winsor with a strong background in advancement, most recently at Beaver Country Day School. Jill enjoys getting to know people, understanding what matters to them, and helping people find meaningful ways to connect their passions with philanthropy. She looks forward to meeting members of the Winsor community, learning more about what matters most to them, and building connections in support of the school and its students. Jill lives in Woburn with her husband and their two children, a son and daughter who will both be in high school this year.
Natalie Hoang: Multimedia Producer
Natalie Hoang is excited to join the Communications team at Winsor as a multimedia producer. She has five years of experience taking photos for academic institutions. She holds an MBA and brings expertise in marketing and storytelling. She is passionate about all-girls education after attending an all-girls high school in San Francisco. In her free time, Natalie enjoys line dancing, cooking, and exploring new places.
Kate Hubbard Woll: Director of Rowing
Coach Kate is excited to join the Winsor School as director of rowing. Kate brings decades of coaching experience in collegiate, high school, and community settings. With a passion for rowing as a lifelong sport, Kate looks forward to helping Winsor athletes use time on the river to practice being their best, brave selves. She holds a Master of Science in education from Antioch New England and a Bachelor of Arts in international affairs from the George Washington University. Kate lives in Arlington. She enjoys anything in or on the water, traveling, singing, walking her dogs, Trixie and Benny, and visiting her daughter, Carly, in Colorado.
Sarah Katz: Pre-Professional Librarian
Sarah Katz is joining Winsor this fall as the Pre-Professional Librarian. She will be simultaneously pursuing her Master of Library and Information Science studying archives at Simmons University, and is excited to be the new kid on the (Longwood) block! No stranger to the Boston area, Sarah graduated from Boston College in 2025 where she studied international studies and studio art. Sarah now resides in Brighton with her partner and their pit bull terrier, Georgia. She is excited to work in information services, and to serve the Winsor community! In her free time, she can be found watching live music, at a sports game, or singing.
Liz Mastrangelo: English Faculty
Liz Mastrangelo is delighted and grateful to take on one section of Class V English at Winsor this semester. Liz earned her B.A. in English from Connecticut College, her M.S. in education and M.A. in English from UMass Boston, and her MFA in creative writing from Emerson College. Liz began her teaching career at St. John’s Prep in Danvers, MA, and after 15 years decided to give coed public school a try. She then spent six years at Wellesley High—including 2020–21, during which she served as the sole English teacher for all grades in WHS’ Remote Learning School. After enjoying a sabbatical, Liz taught ninth-grade girls at Malden Catholic for four years. Liz is eager to balance teaching energetic and investigative ninth-grade girls once again with her passion for her role as a private one-on-one writing coach and English tutor. She lives in Lynnfield with her husband Andrew; her two kiddos, Maddie (20, Villanova University) and Drew (18, College of the Holy Cross); and her barky Treeing Walker Coonhound, Winston.
Amanda Merola: Advancement Administrative Assistant
Amanda Merola is thrilled to join the Winsor School as the advancement administrative assistant. Native to the greater Boston area, she earned a B.A. studio art with a concentration in graphic design from Bridgewater State University. She comes to Winsor from the office of the vice provost for research at Tufts University with years of experience in project and event management, design and communications, and administration. Amanda lives in Waltham and enjoys reading, exploring the city, traveling, and spending time with family in her free time.
Julian Pozniak: Assistant to the Head of School
Julian Pozniak is thrilled to join the Winsor community as the new assistant to the head of school. Julian comes to the Winsor School from the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard where he previously served for five years as executive assistant to Dr. William Sellers, Core Institute member and director of the Cancer Program. Originally from Madison, WI, Julian moved to Boston in 2015 to pursue his M.M. in music composition at the New England Conservatory of Music. Since then, he has served in a variety of administrative roles across multiple organizations. Outside work, Julian continues his involvement in music, teaching piano and voice lessons, directing ensembles, and religiously attending performances by the BSO, H+H, and many other groups. He is an avid gourmand, with a collection of over a hundred cookbooks, vintage cookware, and a community garden plot with dozens of heirloom herbs and vegetables.
Ryan Piche: Assistant Director of Facilities
Ryan Piche is excited to join the Winsor School as the assistant director of facilities. He brings extensive experience in facilities management, building operations, maintenance, and project coordination, with a strong focus on creating safe, reliable, and welcoming environments for students, faculty, and staff. Throughout his career, Ryan has worked closely with maintenance teams, contractors, and leadership to support day-to-day operations while managing larger facility improvements and long-term projects. He is looking forward to bringing his hands-on approach, problem-solving skills, and commitment to teamwork to the Winsor community. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, working on projects around the house, and most of all spending time with his dogs.
Zoey Qin: World Languages Faculty
Zoey Qin joins the Winsor community as a Lower School Mandarin Chinese sabbatical teacher. A native Mandarin speaker from China, Zoey is currently pursuing her master’s degree in world language education at Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. She is passionate about creating an engaging and supportive language-learning environment where students can build confidence using Chinese in meaningful, real-world contexts. Zoey especially enjoys bringing Chinese language and culture to life through hands-on activities, collaborative learning, and creative projects. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring Boston, and discovering new places and experiences with her daughter.
Kallan Roys: PE Teacher
Kallan Roys is excited to join the Winsor community as a physical education teacher. She earned a B.A. in biology from Providence College and an M.S. in applied physiology and kinesiology from the University of Florida. A decade-long coach with a love for the Boston area, Kallan arrived at Winsor two years ago as an assistant coach for varsity basketball and softball. Outside of school, you can find her training for a road race, reading, or scoping out a new favorite coffee shop. Fun fact: Kallan played against Winsor at Under the Lights during her high school soccer career and can’t wait to be in Winsor red coaching Mid 1 soccer this year!
Vaniecia Skinner: English Faculty
Vaniecia Skinner is thrilled to be joining Winsor as a Lower School English teacher! A Massachusetts native, Vaniecia headed south for college, attending Spelman College, where she studied elementary education. After graduating, she made her way back to Boston and began her teaching career at Nativity Preparatory School. There, she taught fifth grade and later seventh grade while earning her master’s degree. Vaniecia now calls Roslindale home. When she’s not in the classroom, you can find her dancing, hanging out with her two cats, or exploring Boston in search of delicious new gluten-free foods to try.
