Ready for the Next Level: Four Seniors Pursue Collegiate Athletics

Winsor is thrilled to have six accomplished athletes from the Class of 2026 who are continuing their athletic careers by pursuing sports at the collegiate level.

Grayson Dolins ’26 will be joining the field hockey team at Bowdoin College (DIII) this fall. A four-year varsity letter winner who played both forward and midfield, Grayson was named one of the field hockey team captains her senior year. At the annual Awards Celebration in 2026, Grayson received the Field Hockey Cup, which is awarded to the player who has made the greatest contribution to the team. She also received recognition from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association as a recipient of the National Academic Squad Award.

Zaara Mehra ’26 will be joining the rowing team at Georgetown University (DI) this fall. Zaara was a member of the rowing team for four years in both the fall and spring seasons. She was selected and served as a team captain during both seasons her senior year. During her sophomore and junior years she raced with Winsor at the United States Youth Nationals in Sarasota, Florida. This year she coxed the Winsor 4+ to 6th place at the Head of the Charles Regatta. At the annual Awards Celebration in 2026, Zaara received the Crew Cup, which is awarded to the player whose dedication has contributed greatly to the team.

Kate Perkins ’26 will be joining the lacrosse team at Hamilton College (DIII) this fall. Kate Perkins leaves Winsor as one of the most accomplished athletes in the history of the program. A multi-sport athlete who competed in both soccer and lacrosse throughout her time at Winsor, Kate made history on the lacrosse field as the program’s all-time leading goal scorer (241) and total points leader (325). Kate has served as a captain of the lacrosse team since her junior year. At the 2025 Annual Awards Celebration, she was honored with the Lacrosse Cup, awarded each year to the player who has made the greatest contribution to the team. 

Theo Zarrow ’26 will be joining the field hockey team at Smith College (DIII) this fall. As an outstanding defender and two-year varsity letter winner, Theo contributed to the high level of success the field hockey program achieved. Beyond the athletic field, Theo received numerous regional and international awards and recognition as a member of Winsor’s Debate Team. In 2024 she finished 5th at the International Independent Schools Public Speaking Championships, and in 2025 she finished 9th at the World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championships. Theo also received recognition as a Scholar of Distinction (3.9 GPA or above) as a recipient of the National Academic Squad Award from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
