PIN Presentation Featuring Amy Jin Johnson

The Parent Indepdent School Network (PIN) will feature Amy Jin Johnson, Executive Director of Project Implicit, Inc. Amy will discuss “Understanding Implicit Bias.” Pre-registration is required and the link can be found here. Amy Jin Johnson is the Executive Director of Project Implicit, Inc., where she also serves as a Facilitator. Project Implicit is a non-profit organization and international collaborative of researchers who are interested in implicit social cognition. Project Implicit produces and applies social psychology research on identity-based bias, stereotypes, and attitudes to address institutional disparities and improve decision-making. As the Executive Director of Project Implicit, Amy is responsible for managing day-to-day operations as well as guiding the mission of the nonprofit organization. Over the last year, she has presented on the topic of implicit bias across industries, including public health, nonprofit organizations, law, education, and business. Amy earned a B.A. in History from Kalamazoo College, an M.A. in History from American University, and an M.A. in American Studies from Brown University. Amy is currently writing a dissertation in American Studies at Brown University where she examines the intersections of race, space, and law in Los Angeles’s Chinatown during the late nineteenth century.
